Addiction Support

Alaska WorkSource provides vocational training, job skills, character development, life skills on-the-job training, and case management to those individuals with a history of homelessness, incarceration and alcohol/drug addiction. With our partner Tután Recovery Services, our behavior health professionals of today continue to develop innovative evidence-based service models to serve the disconnected and socially disadvantaged persons re-entering society after periods of incarceration or homelessness. Our unique partnerships within local communities represents one of the Alaska’s best opportunities to engage citizens in the process of offering acceptance, service and guidance to formerly incarcerated citizens. These efforts, not only provide life-changing benefits for the formerly incarcerated, but also make a direct impact on the health and vitality of the local community.

Tután Recovery Services is a faith based Alaskan Substance Use Outpatient Treatment Center and a soon to be a Batterers Intervention Program. Our program allows individuals to seek help with their addictions and behaviors while continuing to live in the community. We offer convenient morning, afternoon and evening groups. Our primary focus is on the development of healthy lifestyles and positive behavior patterns with sound, emotional, and spiritual growth. Here at Tután Recovery Service our professional counselors are here to help you and your family heal and move forward in a positive direction.
